AskMeDrug is a medical portal about illnesses, medicines, treatment and staying healthy, offering professional help with choosing medicines and understanding treatment. People open such a site when they or someone close to them feel unwell, when they have received a diagnosis they do not fully understand, or when they want to check a medicine before taking it. They are often anxious, and the site has to help them find reliable information quickly and read it without strain.

We created and laid out the medical website. The design is light and attractive, and everything is done simply and tastefully. A light design suits a medical portal well: it feels clean, it keeps long articles about diseases and treatment comfortable to read, and it avoids the heavy, alarming atmosphere that some medical sites create. Simplicity in the layout means that the content - articles about illnesses, descriptions of medicines, advice on treatment and prevention - remains the centre of attention, organised by topic so that a reader can move from a symptom to an illness and from an illness to its treatment.

The site is built on WordPress, which suits a content-driven portal: the editors can publish and update articles easily, organise them into categories and keep the knowledge base growing without a developer.
