PowerfulLaptopBattery - accessories and components for laptops

Type of work: Design for an online shop selling laptop components

Creation of a design for the ShopXML online shop on the theme of laptop components.

PowerfulLaptopBattery is another online shop of the ShopXML network, this time built around rechargeable batteries and other components and accessories for laptops. Its name puts the main promise up front: power, meaning a battery that brings a laptop back to a full working day away from the socket. Customers come to it when their laptop has started to die after an hour or two, when the old battery has swollen or stopped charging, or when they need a spare battery for long trips.

We created the design of the shop on the theme of laptop components. Since it shares the ShopXML platform and product data with other stores of the network, the design had to give it a distinct identity of its own, so that a visitor perceives it as a separate, specialised shop rather than a copy. The visual theme draws on the idea of energy and reliability, while the structure keeps batteries in the foreground and places other components - chargers, adapters and accessories - next to them as natural companions of a battery purchase. A buyer looking for a new battery often needs a charger too, and seeing it nearby saves a second search.

The search phrases the shop was designed for - laptop battery, battery for a laptop, buy a new accumulator, rechargeable battery, laptop components - are practical and specific. A clear thematic design and a catalog that groups the battery with what usually accompanies it help the shop answer them well.
